
For those unfamiliar with the trail, Rattlesnake canyon is a 27-mile trail that goes from the Johnson Valley area up to Big Bear. It’s rated a 4 and makes it way up the mountain and connects to other trails within the Big Bear Mountain trail system. The trail itself follows a river wash and has plenty sections to test your capabilities. It has 3 true challenges within it, that can be navigated without a spotter, but a good one always helps make it an easier day.
