About the Episode Keep your eye on Trish. She’s sneaky. After driving the new Ford Bronco through the back trails of Joshua Tree National Park, Marc threw out the idea of getting one. It took Trish 3 seconds to start negotiating for another dog! All this fun conversation started when we met up with Brad & Regina from Trail Recon on our way home from completing Route 66. Joshua Tree National Park is a stunning park if you haven’t been. Great for camping, hiking, riding and even driving through. During this visit, we learned that Jumbo Rocks is now reservations-only. As a result, we were able to snag a site at Indian Cove which was equally stunning. Many people ask about the size of the RV when camping at National Parks. There is no question that an RV 30 feet or less make getting a reservation easier, but if you have a big rig, don’t give up. There are plenty of state and national parks that can accommodate big rigs and many government booking websites error on the side of being conservative in the actual size of an RV that can fit. Do some research and you’ll likely find that you’ll fit in many sites without issue.
