Description
The Evo Manufacturing Protek Skid System has been designed to provide the ultimate protection to the belly of your vehicle. When off-roading, you are exposing your vehicle to harmful, and unknown elements on the trail such as large rocks, tree stumps, as well as sharp objects that can puncture and cause damage to your engine, transmission, exhaust components, and anything else on the underside of your vehicle.
The Protek System consists of 3 skids:
The Oil Pan Skid provides protection to the oil pan. The factory oil pan is one of the more vulnerable components exposed on the underside of your vehicle. If this gets punctured on an impact, you could leak al the oil out basically ending the life of your engine. If your engine experiences oil starvation due to a leak, then bad things will happen, and your engine will seize leaving you stranded.
The same can be said about the transmission. The Manual Transmission Pan Skid will protect the transmission from harsh impacts from rocks, slides, as well as other debris.
Finally, the Exhaust Tranny Crossmember Skid will protect the exhaust components from getting damaged. This skid protects the exhaust components near the transmission that is also exposed to danger.
All of the components included in the Evo Manufacturing Protek Skid System has been fabricated from high-grade steel, and has been powder-coated black to provide a factory look, and to remain abrasion resistant.
