Conventional winch hooks have a tendency of cutting and fraying recovery straps, and often allow straps ends to escape during momentary slack cycles of a typical recovery. To prevent this from happening, the FlatLink does not require any splicing and will work with steel cables and synthetic ropes up to 3/8" in diameter. The FlatLink Red Shackle Mount is also the industry's first folding shackle mount for recovery winches, and with less than 1.75" of thickness, this FlatLink will work with all roller fairlead license plate brackets.
