Storage space is very limited in any Jeep, but especially so in the Gladiator. Under the back seat is the only large volume of storage area available. Some Gladiator models come from the factory with a plastic tub that encloses the area under the back seat, but the problem is that the plastic tub has to be bulky in order to give it some rigidity, which wastes valuable space.
The aluminum one-piece storage box was originally designed for our complete dual battery system for the diesel Gladiator, because the factory plastic tub was too bulky to put a battery under the seat. Replacing that inefficient plastic tub freed up over an inch of room between the floor and the seat, allowing to mount the battery and our Power Hubto create a remotely mounted dual battery system.
You can also use the storage box by itself for storing all your travel gear, or use it as a platform for mounting all kinds of extra equipment such as your air compressor, stereo equipment, tool mounts, fishing poles, etc. The solid surface bottom and front facing panel can easily be drilled for your custom needs, or use the pressed-in threaded hardware in the bottom surface for a wide variety of uses.
This storage box comes to you as one large solid piece, with no assembly required, and reuses 4 factory 10mm bolts to install. You can gain extra cargo space in less than 5 minutes. Designed to follow the factory floormat shape for an OEM appearance.
