The Motobilt 6061-T6 Aluminum tail gate armor for the Jeep YJ not only looks great but protects your Jeeps tailgate. The Aluminum tail gate armor will completely cover your Jeep’s tailgate and give it a clean look. The tail gate armor is made from 3/16” thick 6061-T6 Aluminum that is laser cut in house at Motobilt.
While we do offer this tail gate armor in 3/16” steel, the 6061-T6 Aluminum provides protection while also being light weight. The 3/16” thickness is consistent with Motobilt body armor, so the aluminum tail gate armor will match up, creating a smooth, even look. The tailgate armor is shipped bare raw aluminum and may require some finishing work before being painted or powder coated.
