This Omix Liftgate Support Strut for the Wrangler YJ is a sturdy replacement for the factory shock that has failed. New supports can reduce the risk of damage to the more expensive glass by keeping it closed while traveling so it does not bounce around and shatter. It also acts as a helping hand when you are dealing with cargo in the rear. Supports are sold individually but recommended that they be replaced in pairs to assure the charge in each shock is equal.
