The Rock Hard 4X4 Aluminum Oil Pan/Transmission Skid Plate offers some of the best protection you can bring with you on the trail. Your oil pan, and your transmission are some of the most vulnerable exposed areas while enduring aggressive trails. The slightest of impacts on rocks or tree stumps could potentially puncture your oil pan which means you will quickly lose oil pressure, which means you lose your motor. And if you damage the transmission housing, then you could lose fluid in the transmission causing leaks, overheating, and before you know it, your weekend is ruined.
The Rock Hard Oil Pan and Transmission Skid are fabricated from ¼” thick plate aluminum, and feature laser cut precision bent drop brackets that install on the frame, rather than the motor mounts as means of support. This will hinder any further vibrations against your chassis. This will allow your motor, and transmission to flex naturally from their mounts rather than becoming bound by the skid plates. The rear of the skid plate will mount to your transmission cross member.
Included with the Rock Hard Skid Plate are the exclusive RH-6000, and RH-6000-LA hardware kit which features the in-house made “Rock Dome” bolt head projectors. These will keep the bolt heads safe from harsh scraping, etc. Also, included with the Oil Pan/Transmission/Dual Cat Skid are the support brackets, Rock Dome Bolt Head Projectors, Hardware, and Installation Instructions.
