Description
If you're ready to replace an old or damaged axle housing, then be ready for the Teraflex Front Factory Replacement Housing. This is a direct replacement housing for the Dana 44, also known as the Tera44. This is also a great upgrade of your factory axle housing which can be known to be a weak link especially if you're a regular on various outdoor adventures. The center section has been designed to handle more abuse and is constructed with increased rib gussets in a ductile cast iron housing. The bottom is a smooth radius design to help glide over rocks, tree stumps and other elements found on the trail. Additionally, there is an oil drain hole for simple fluid changes.
The control arm mounts are located in the OE location on the housing which eliminates the need for excessive brackets. And the tube diameter is proven to be some of the largest in the industry. These tubes are 3.25" OD X 0.25" wall DOM tubing which provides more protection against bending and breaking if you should happen to get on a real aggressive trail. This axle also features thick CNC laser cut axle brackets with integrated lower bracket skid plates. along with reinforced front trackbar mounts which have more strength which will eliminate ball joint separation plus the inner knuckles are forged.
Other features include pre-installed inner seals and upper control arm bushings which makes upgrading less of a hassle. Simply transfer all your existing components to the new axle and bolt-in.
The Teraflex Factory Replacement Housing will come powder-coated black to have extra protection against rust and corrosion.
