Volant hasn't cut any corners, with cross-link polyethylene air box and duct work engineered for fantastic fit and function. Designed to insulate the filter from the hot engine compartment air, thus increasing horsepower. The air tube features a less restrictive air passage to the throttle body with larger diameters and smooth transitions for maximum horsepower and quicker throttle response from the 3.8L engine. Filter options include a cleanable and reusable Volant Pro 5 filter element that reduces air restriction to increase air flow, or the PowerCore Filter which collects particulates on the surface and not in the pleats. High performance silicone connectors provide flexibility, strength and thermal stability and marine grade stainless steel clamps provide strong air tight seals. The JK Volant Cool Air intake is compatible with the JK optional Volant Periscoop snorkel.
