Description
Advance Adapter's Cable Shifter provides a solution to known issues with the Transfer case shifting mechanism on Jeep TJ models. Problems that have occurred when lifting these vehicles, or performing changes to the drive train components include: binding, hard shifts, and slipping out of gear.
Note: Replacing the New Process 231 with the Cable Shifter, removes the bell crank linkage, which reverses the shift lever pattern inside the vehicle. Positioning the shifter handle all the way forward in stock Jeeps, puts the Transfer case in 2WD. After the kit is installed, moving the shifter all the way forward, puts it in 4WD Low. A new shifter knob with the new correct shift pattern is included to correct the reversal.
