Jeep Gladiator Guides
Everything we've learned fitting parts on Jeep Gladiators: wheel and tire fitment, lift kits, bumpers, winches, lighting and performance, with specs checked against factory data and real builds.
Quick Specs
The Jeep Gladiator JT (2020 to present) uses a 5x5 in (5x127 mm) bolt pattern, a 71.5 mm center bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts torqued to 130 ft-lb. Factory wheels are 17x7.5 with a +44 offset. Rubicon and Mojave Gladiators fit 35 inch tires on the stock suspension, and we've installed 37s on a stock Mojave with no trimming. Sport and Willys trucks need a 2 to 2.5 inch lift for 35s.

3. Tire Size by Lift Height
This is the short version. The Tire Size Guide has the full build data.
| Setup | 35 in tires | 37 in tires |
|---|---|---|
| Stock, Rubicon or Mojave | Fits | Fits on a Mojave (our build, no trimming) |
| Stock, Sport or Willys | Some owners run them; a lift is cleaner | Expect rubbing or trimming |
| Leveling kit | Fits | 3 builds tracked, no rubbing reported |
| 2 to 2.5 in lift | Fits any trim | Some rubbing reported |
| 3 to 3.5 in lift | Fits | Cleanest route: no rubbing in the builds we tracked |
Over 2.5 inches of lift, plan on adjustable track bars front and rear. See the Lift Kit Guide.
4. Trims & Details That Change Fitment
Sport and Willys vs Rubicon and Mojave
Rubicon and Mojave Gladiators have more tire clearance from the factory, so they fit 35s without a lift. Sport and Willys trucks need a 2 to 2.5 inch lift for the same tires. Trim also changes the truck's weight, which matters when you size a winch.
Plastic vs steel front bumper
Most Gladiators, including many Rubicons, have a plastic front bumper that can't carry a winch. You can add a winch plate that bolts to the factory tow hook mounts, or step up to a steel winch bumper. Fog lights also differ between the plastic and steel bumpers.
Blind-spot sensors in the tail lights
The Gladiator's blind-spot sensors sit inside the factory tail lights. Pick aftermarket tail lights built to hold them and move the sensors over during install.
3.6L gas vs 3.0L EcoDiesel
Most Gladiators have the 3.6L V6. The 3.0L EcoDiesel was offered from 2021 to 2023 and uses different exhaust, intake and tuning parts, so check fitment for your engine.

6. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Jeep Gladiator bolt pattern?
The Jeep Gladiator JT uses a 5x5 inch (5x127 mm) bolt pattern with a 71.5 mm center bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts torqued to 130 ft-lb.
What is the biggest tire that fits a stock Jeep Gladiator?
Rubicon and Mojave Gladiators fit 35 inch tires on the stock suspension, and we've installed 37s on a stock Mojave with no trimming. Sport and Willys Gladiators need a 2 to 2.5 inch lift for 35s.
What size lift do I need for 37 inch tires on a Gladiator?
A 3 to 3.5 inch lift is the cleanest route to 37s on any trim. In the owner-reported builds we tracked, every Gladiator on 37s with a 3 to 3.5 inch lift reported no rubbing and no trimming.
What wheel offset works best on a Jeep Gladiator?
A 17x9 wheel with a -12 offset is the most popular setup for 35 and 37 inch tires. In our build data, 11 of 13 Gladiators on that setup reported no rubbing.
Can I put a winch on a Jeep Gladiator with the factory bumper?
Not on the plastic bumper by itself, but a winch plate that bolts to the factory tow hook mounts lets you add a winch without replacing the bumper. For heavier use, a steel winch bumper is the stronger option.
Do Jeep Wrangler JL parts fit the Gladiator?
Some do and some don't. Many front-end parts, like headlights and some front bumpers, are shared, but the Gladiator's longer frame, truck bed and rear suspension mean lift kits, rear bumpers and tail lights are often Gladiator-specific. Always check that a part lists the Gladiator JT.
